So the journey begins....
This blog will be a sounding board and journal through the next journeys of life. It will also be a place for myself and the mister to share our thoughts and concerns as we start this new phase of our lives together.

Delay/Update/Revision
Due to a change in vocation (I accepted a new job in January which I began Feb 17th at Sage Software) and a change in location (we moved from Elk Grove, CA to Beaverton, OR) this journey hit an unexpected detour. I am back on track now and headed in the right direction. I met with my new surgeon on Thursday 7/10/14, Dr. Emma Patterson (a highly revered and renowed surgeon recommended to me by my prior bariatric doctor, who has helped develop and research many of the techniques and procedures used today in the field of Bariatrics/Gastric Bypass). Together we discussed her ideas, thoughts, and plans for my impending journey and changes she thought would be beneficial. She and I agreed that we would like to start the process with some lifestyle changes...makes sense to me. The goal now is to lose 20 pounds before surgery to prepare myself and my liver for the procedure.
So the journey begins....
So the journey begins....
